Taper: Auger3D. Equipment: Sony D-8 > CSB Mics. Taper's notes: "This is the first of 5 shows I recorded on the 2001 world needs a hero tour. Megadeth let the fans help choose the setlist, via online poll, for each show. All five shows I recorded had different setlists. These post 9-11 shows bring a very pissed of Dave Mustaine playing at the top of his game. Great Setlists lasting for almost 2 hours. It's strange these days megadeth only plays 80 minutes. Enjoy." Great show that surfaced first in 2005 and later the taper himself shared it in 09/2010. This recording is close to the quality of the Chicago 10/2001 shows but not that great and IMHO it's due to the venue's acoustics. It's really cool to see the band's shuffling setlist from show to show. "Anarchy" was played which is quite rare for this tour leg.
Notes of John "When this was shared by the taper at DIME on 09/2010 the wavs were 96khz instead of 44.1 like wavs ready for audio use on cdrs are. I used adobe audition 1.0 to downsample the wavs to 44.1 with the very highest quality setting enabled. TLH was then used to fix the SBE's that were present on all the tracks. Lastly TLH was then used to encode the wavs into FLAC(lvl8). FLAC -> 96 khz wav -> Adobe Audition 1.0 (96khz -> 44.1khz) -> TLH(fix sbe's/FLAC(lvl8)."
