Notes: Taper: Jacob "Rocktrades", Lineage: AT943 cardioid > CA-9100 (bass roll-off at 80hz) > Edirol R-09 (Line-in 24bit/44.1kHz). Taper and show notes: "Recorded from roughly 30 metres in front of the right PA. Despite the venue's poor acoustics, the recording came out better than I would expect. There were a few clappers around me, but nothing to distract from the actual show. Check out the sound sample below. The band...well, I guess the main problem with this project is that Jurgen is just not good enough to fit his dads shoes. Sure, few players are, but Jurgen is way too sloppy. Some of the solos were painful to digest. One would argue this was the band's third show overall, and he'll improve as the tour progresses. Well, I doubt it. Tony Carey, on the other had, was sensational. Fortunately, the keyboards were high in the mix, so you can feel the magic of Tony's playing. JLT was relatively in good shape, but failed miserably on most of Dio songs. Who the hell included "Stargazer" in the set? Why not play "Spotlight Kid" or "Stone Cold" instead, which is a more familiar territory for JLT. I should still give Joe credit for trying his best. Anyways, I think fans of Rainbow and Joe Lynn Turner should probably enjoy this."
