... And Bootlegs For All

Watchtower - Live in Amstelveen, Holland, 2004

Venue: Headway Festival, P60: Amstelveen, Holland
 Date: April 3, 2004
 Time: 68:29/16:18
 Size: 2 CDs

Sound: B+, AUD, 2 gen. copy from master
Notes: Here's comments from one of the guys who attended the show: 'The show was awesome, in spite of lots of technical difficulties, among which (as I'd find out afterwards from Doug) the fact that they (or at least Doug) had to play through the board instead of their amps, and couldn't hear themselves play. The sound indeed started off rather bad (and with the sound guy apparently forgetting to turn off the intro tape), but after Rick's busted snare drum was replaced, I didn't notice much of any problems out in the audience, at least. Lots of fun, humor and kidding around (Doug turning Ron's pedals off at one point) as per their great tradition, and with all their lack of practice since Wacken, it was simply amazing how well they pulled all those complex songs off. Being able to perform that well with all those odds stacked against them, a lot of "big-time" colleagues can take an example from them. However much the guys themselves were disappointed with how things went, technically, I don't think anyone in the audience left with less than a wonderful afterglow.'
One of the very few 2004 shows these virtuosos did.
